It would practically worth it just to have Limbaugh do that.
But I’m not sure if this is really in the plans. A story today at Huffington Post thinks not. I can’t find much of anything in the news about it — & if something like this really WAS in the offing, there would be a lot of noise about it because the rightwingers hate Obama so much.

My sister writes on FB that Obama followers think he is the Messiah. I have never heard anyone say that except rightwingers. And this is some more trumped up nonsense to keep them hating. The GOP will not stop until the man is out of office. Pray that we can counter their evil this term and get some real work done for the country. I am sick to death of the lies and innuendo just because the man is black and smarter than they will ever be.

Right, Sally. The only people I’ve ever encountered who refer to the president as “the One” and/or “the messiah” have been those on the right. They picked this mess up from the Fox news entertainers and RW radio entertainers like Rush Limbaugh and repeat it like the parrots they are. There is definitely a denial of President Obama’s intelligence going on here. I’ve seen it all before. I’m a retired teacher, and some of my white co-workers who had graduated from the same undergraduate school from which I had graduated would make comments meant to convey that the college “gave” me my degree while they “earned” theirs. Hogwash. This was their attempt to minimize my educational achievements because of my race. My only crime was succeeding at the same college they attended while being black. I guess it also stuck in their craw that I graduated in three years instead of four. I’m sick of some Americans putting down others based on centuries’ old stereotypes and other purely cultural constructs.
