James and Rupert Murdoch under fire at British Parliament
This man who runs an empire that spans oceans with an iron fist has just wimped out under investigation claiming he had no idea what people below him were doing – he’s just a figurehead – not an active player in his company(ies). (Is he taking lessons from Sarah?)
Thank God for the female British Parliamentarian (sorry it’s 2:30am and I gave up on names and titles more than an hour ago) who looked this magnificent liar straight in the eye and said you would like us to believe you – the man who is purports to work 10-12 hour days and has his finger in every department – that you had no idea what your chiefs were doing?
Murdoch stated he was not an active CEO – he was CEO in name only and the people beneath him betrayed him and his company. But this lovely blonde-haired Brit cut his lies short, dug in her heels and kept at him…
She reminded Murdoch that not so long ago one of his chiefs resigned his post at News of the World because he felt as captain it was his duty to go down with the ship. She asked if he agreed with that decision. Rupert said yes. Then she stared him in the eye again and said something like ‘but Mr. Rupert Murdoch we all know you are actually the captain of the ship so do you feel responsible enough to also resign?
Rupert said no. she said “Why not? You’re the captain… this all happened on your watch.”
Every time Rupert claims that this mess is someone else’s fault asnd he’s completely innocent and he can’t resign because he is the ONLY PERSON WHO CAN CLEAN UP THE MESS I swear I hear violins and angels singing a chorus of Hallelujah because this is the song the liar sings just before cell door closes behind him.
And this all means Fox is next.
Life is good tonight 🙂
There was a man who lunged at Rupert but his wife (of all people) pummeled him to the ground. I truly hope those photos air soon. It was a sight to behold!

Thanks, Oz!
It’s time for Rupert Murdoch to accept responsibility for his actions and for those of his employees. He is such a bully behind the scenes but is a real weasel when it’s time for him to own up to his transgressions. Kudos to the female member of Parliament who refused to let him off the hook!! Roger Ailes and the Fox crew of entertainers are most likely shaking in their shoes and watching their backs to see if the hammer will come down on their heads next. According to Media Matters, a former Fox employee had previously revealed that Ailes has a “Brain Room” at Fox headquarters in NY that was set up specifically to gather intel on individuals/groups/organizations using subversive, and possibly illegal, tactics. He stated unequivocally that the “Brain Room” equipment could be used to hack into phones and computers. The former exec stated that he is one of the few employees at Fox that know what the room is used for because he set it up.
I’ve been praying fervently for months, asking God to handle the faux conservatives and people like Murdoch, and it seems as if God heard my prayers. There have been calls by both democrats and republicans in the U.S. to investigate Murdoch and his company(ies,) but time will tell whether anything will become of these requests given the current political climate in which republicans will squash any investigation into one of their own. Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) stated on a Sunday morning news program that he doesn’t believe any investigations are necessary. I find this very strange considering the republicans have portrayed themselves as 9/11 Patriots, and the phones that were allegedly hacked were those of victims of 9/11.

Sorry–“quash.” I had been thinking earlier today of having squash for dinner! LOL

Good morning friends. OZ-I think the man who attacked Rupert was delivering a pie. I didn’t see it live-too early for me on the left coast of the U.S.-but Keith said that’s what happened, and film of the hero being removed seemed to show bits of whipped cream on his face. I thought that was his wife defending him. Poor woman. Majii-the brain room at fox N.Y. conjures up some hilarious images. The morning crew coming in to work, checking their brain into the brain closet, and then going on air. Long years ago I actually thought Doozy was kind of entertaining. That must’ve been before the brain room was built. It really explains a lot. The “grim coincidence” of the whistleblower being found dead-I suppose this will be the only coincidence Gov. Quittypants will believe in. I don’t believe for one second it was a coincidence, and I thank him for what he let out of the bag. I think this is just a wonderful thing to have happen to those vile people, and I hope it’s the end for Rupert and friends. Notice that they can’t trust their own cast of clowns in the U.S. to report on this-they’re broadcasting from the UK. Have a great day!

Thanks Oz. As one who lives “down under” I think you have a right to call Murdoch on his behavior.

Better watch out for that Wendi, mate. I hope the doddery old bastard never lives her down.

Yes, I too, admired the young Brit because she kept at him asking the tough questions and even laying the groundwork for our investigators (when she asked about hacking the phones of 9/11 victims’ families).
However, I was watching the questioning live and have watched the reruns and I am frustrated that people are crediting Murdoch’s wife as fending off the pie man. There was a woman sitting to her left in a gray suit who is the who who had initial contact with the attacker and who was literally knocked aside by Rupert’s wife. She, not, wifey-poo, is the one who was the first to defend him.
The wife simply joined in the fray as well she should to protect her sugar Daddy. You have heard the background about her, right? That as a teen exchange student, she had an affair with the father of the sponsoring family and then, after his marriage fell apart, married him just long enough to get her Green Card. Then she moved on to riper territory, ultimately settling in with Murdoch. I find it disgusting that such a woman should receive any praise – particularly when it truly was another woman who actually defended him first. Nothing like jumping in to steal the “glory,” is there?
Wasn’t his son estranged for a long time until lured back with this lucrative job?

Yep, I agree with the comment above, Wendi Deng is a real piece of work. Horrible, horrible person; known ONLY for undermining other women and getting her own way and sleeping and manipulating her way to the top. I guarantee her reaction was less a caring younger wife of an older man trying to protect, and more a calculated move to get some attention and defend her position as young wifey now SHE’S the one over forty and feeling vulnerable that she could be disposed of one day.

The history of Wendi Deng is one of those things I ‘knew’ but didn’t really ‘know’ – if you get my drift – so thanks for jogging my memory.
I was on my computer with the TV on the other side of the wall so while I was listening, I wasn’t watching. When the fracas occurred I called to hubs and we both went into the lounge but the British cameramen were obliged to not let us actually see the incident until much later.
So my thanks to all who helped fill in the blanks.
I did, however, get to see ol’ Murdoch falling asleep while his son was being questioned. I thought that spoke volumes to his declining ability to run a business.

But was he really falling asleep, or faking being a doddering old fool who couldn’t have possibly known what was going on?
I would love to see this scandal grow and spread, but don’t you think the phone hacking gave Murdoch dirt on all the politicians, which he’ll promise not to divulge as long as they leave him alone? I’m looking at you, DeMint.
July 21, 2011 at 10:47 am
Interesting – but don’t you think faking being a doddering old fool would only encourage people to question why he won’t stand down?
And as for pollies he may ‘have the dirt’ on – I’m hoping everyone will notice who defends this man and who doesn’t and reach the conclusion that his only supporters are ‘probably’ only those he has the dirt on! Wouldn’t THAT be a nice list to have going into the 2012 elections!

Mr. Murdoch, your comeuppance is coming up!
